Myofascial release and stress management
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a soft tissue massage incorporating stretching and elongating of the fascia.
It is a powerful method of releasing tension from problem areas such as the neck, T.M.J issue's, the diaphragm, lower back and pelvis. Performed using gentle sustained pressure and stretching into the myofascial connective tissue. This helps to eliminate pain and restore motion.
Myofascial release can improve posture, counter-act muscle soreness and increase flexibility.
Stress management through massage
Massage is a good way to manage stress. Studies show that stress is the number one root of many diseases and disorders. Whether it’s stress from work, home or daily activities, the result is the same: too much stress can lead to health problems. A side effect of relieving stress and tension involves a reduction in your blood pressure. Especially if you are prone to high blood pressure or if high amounts of stress in your life are known to negatively trigger your high blood pressure.
